Grovenburg UMC has a strong tradition of supporting missions and of working for the Kingdom of God here on earth. During the past two years we have struggled with the question of what God would have us do as a Christian community in the Lansing/Holt area. This has led us not only to outreach with Servant Evangelism, but also other gifts and ministries of mercy and grace. God has worked through us in several ways including:
  • Adopting families for Thanksgiving and Christmas to provide food and gifts
  • Supporting the Forgotten Man Ministry, a ministry to those in jail
  • Collecting a clatter offering for the Southside Kitchen in order to help feed the homeless for Thanksgiving
  • Singing hymns with those in nursing homes
  • Halloween Trunk or Treat
  • Supporting the MSU Wesley Foundation
  • Adopting and support a child through Compassion International
  • Supporting Heiffer International
Grovenburg United Methodist Church has a prayer ministry that meets every Monday night. The prayer group has a list of people that are kept in prayer as well as praying for any new concerns that come up during the week. We believe that prayer works and that it is one way that we can show that we care.

Worship with us Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM

Go therefore and
make disciples of all
nations, baptizing
them in the name of
the Father, and of the
Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching
them to obey
everything I have
commanded you.
